HamPilot

Terms of Service

Effective July 5, 2026

1. The service

HamPilot is a web application for amateur radio operators: logging, propagation prediction, planning tools, lookups, and an AI assistant. It's operated by Black Vector Technologies LLC ("we", "us") in the United States.

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account credentials and for using HamPilot in compliance with your amateur radio license and applicable law (including FCC Part 97 in the US). You must be legally able to enter this agreement.

3. Subscriptions, cancellation, refunds

Paid plans (Pro, Club, Lifetime) are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Manage subscription — no emails, no phone calls — and you keep paid access until the end of the period already paid for. Lifetime is a one-time purchase for the lifetime of the product. If we ever discontinue HamPilot, we'll give at least 60 days notice and full data export.

If something's broken and we can't fix it, ask within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it.

4. Your data

Your logbook, equipment, and profile data are yours. Export them as ADIF/CSV anytime. Deleting your account deletes your data from our production systems within 30 days.

5. Accuracy — read this one

Propagation predictions are physics-based estimates informed by live measured data; actual radio conditions vary. AI-generated content (repeater listings, operating suggestions, assistant answers) can be wrong or outdated and is labeled accordingly — verify frequencies, tones, and regulations independently. HamPilot is a planning aid, not a safety-of-life service. Never rely on it as your sole resource in an emergency.

6. Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no scraping at scale, reselling API access, attacking the infrastructure, or using it for unlawful transmissions. We can suspend accounts that do.

7. Third-party services

HamPilot integrates data from third parties (NOAA/NWS, HamQSL, the GIRO ionosonde network via KC2G, POTA, FCC records via callook.info, ARRL LoTW, QRZ, Stripe). Their availability and accuracy are theirs; their terms apply to their services.

8. Warranty & liability

HamPilot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that means acceptance.
